Care built on understanding

We treat back pain, neck pain, and movement issues. But we do it by understanding what's actually happening in your body.

What we treat

Back pain. Whether it's acute, chronic, or something that keeps coming back, we find the mechanical issue and fix it. More importantly, we help you understand why it happened so you can prevent it.

Neck pain. Often linked to posture, stress, and how you work. We explain the connection, treat the underlying movement problem, and teach you how to protect your neck going forward.

Movement issues. Limited mobility, stiffness, pain with certain movements. We assess what's not moving smoothly, restore better function, and teach you to maintain it.

Other issues? Reach out directly to discuss whether we can help with your specific situation. If it has a significant mechanical component, we're likely well-placed to assist.

How we work

Our approach is straightforward: understand what's happening, why it's happening, and then fix it together.

We don't just treat your symptoms. We look at your history, your movement patterns, and the context of your life. We figure out what led to your current situation and address the underlying mechanical issue—not just the pain.

Most importantly, we make sure you understand what's going on. If you don't know what's wrong or why you're being treated, the care doesn't stick. We explain clearly, answer your questions, and make sure you feel confident in the plan before we start.

Regular visits are quick and efficient. We know what to look for and what needs to be done. You won't spend more time than necessary with us—we respect your schedule.

Your first visit

1. Phone call & intake — Call to book. You'll get an online form to complete at home, in your own time. Share as much detail as you're comfortable with.

2. We review your info — Before you come in, we read your intake form and understand your background.

3. Visit: history & exam — We go through your history together, answer any new questions, then examine your spine and relevant areas.

4. Understand together — We sit down and explain what we found. What's going on, why it's happening, and what we need to do to turn things around.

5. Decide together — Only if you feel informed, understand the plan, and are comfortable do we move forward. Care can start immediately if you're ready.

What to expect

Timeline to improvement. Most people start noticing changes after 3–6 visits, typically within a week of structured care. If there's a significant mechanical component to your pain, symptoms often change quite quickly once that movement improves. That said, we're realistic. Some situations take longer, and we'll be honest about what to expect.

Realistic expectations matter. We help you understand what's realistic for your situation. This isn't just honest—it helps put your mind at ease and keeps you confident in the process.

Exercises and homework

Your role in healing is crucial. First, we restore better movement to your spine. Then, when it's appropriate, we add stretches and exercises—but only what you actually need.

We don't give you complicated routines that take 20 minutes daily. Instead, we figure out a few key, basic things that support your recovery and find times during your day when you can do them easily. Most people integrate these into their existing routine without disruption—a few things throughout the day, not one big session.

Some people get exercises on their first visit. Others we wait on until things are moving more smoothly. It varies by person.

Beyond getting better

Once you're out of pain and feeling better, many of our patients want to do more than just recover—they want to stay better and prevent this from happening again.

That's a conversation we have one-on-one during a review visit. We talk about what maintenance looks like for you—how often you should come in, what exercises to continue, how to protect your system long-term.

There's no one-size-fits-all answer. Life isn't a straight line. Some periods you'll need more support; other times, less. We tailor maintenance care specifically to what you need and what makes sense for your life. Our goal is to make having a healthy spine and nervous system something easy and stress-free to maintain.
